Who's house is this anyways?

"My dear children, for whom I am again in the pains of childbirth until Christ is formed in you" - Galatians 4:19

What is it that forms a person in life? In the psychological and scientific world there is a nature vs. nurture debate that has been around for ages.
Whatever the influence, we can all agree that in the end what forms you, is the way you think about yourself. The bible says it like this, "For as he thinks in his heart, so is he." -Proverbs 23:7. Makes sense, right?

With that in mind, you cannot become what you are not choosing to believe and identify with! Wooooohooo!!!!

So who was Paul speaking to in the verse above? He was speaking to the Galatian church! Hmm...so wouldn't that mean that they already had Christ in them? Yes. But Christ, as Paul had said, was not formed in them.

God cannot change your thoughts and cannot reform you, and form Christ in you; the mature Son of God in you; when you allow religion to cause you to fear and not look upon the Word of God with an open faith. Faith is what appropriates to you everything God gave to Jesus.

"That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; ..." Ephesians 3:17 AKJ
Another translation:
"I pray that Christ may make His home in your hearts through your faith;..." Ephesisans 3:17 WNT

So it's through faith that Christ dwells in your heart. That's why it is possible to be a born again Christian and remain a baby never becoming a son. Just because Christ is in you, doesn't mean that he is LIVING in you. You can be forming somebody else by identifying with your old nature. God will dwell in you in an active form when you exercise faith in the reality of his indwelling and begin to identify with everything that Christ is.

You must let God's word LIVE in you and not just exist in your memory or become head knowledge. When the Word lives in you, it will express itself and people will be able to encounter that Word in you. The Word will form The Christ living inside of you.
"I pray that Christ may make His home in your hearts through your faith...."

What makes Christ feel like a guest and not a resident in your heart?

When you are in disagreement with the Word of God. Honestly, no one ever feels at home in a place where they are not received just the way they are.

Somebody tells you, "You are more than a conquer in Christ Jesus". (Romans 8:37). If you respond by saying..." I wish I could believe that." or "You have no idea what I've been through." Christ is standing in a small corner of your heart, not even relaxed or sitting down, stuff still packed, and just thinking while shaking his head, "Man, who's house is this anyways?" He wants to unpack all his suitcases filled with fulfillment of promises and settle in your heart, but you have to have faith to make Him feel at home first.

Christ feels at home when your faith works in agreement with the Word of God. Then He's chilled, unpacked, lying on the big sofa, feet propped up and thinking, "Oh yeah! My Word is law in this house."

When you relinquish the authority of your house to the Lord he should be able to move at any moment and you should be ready to comply. You should be a complete extension of Him. His thoughts, His lifestyle, His actions, His same confidence towards God...He'll be doing it all right through you!

Those people you may envy who are moving in deep dimensions of God; the only difference between them and those who are stagnant or moving at a turtle's pace in the Spirit, is that God feels at home in them. God has been identified by them, formed in them; through their own meditation and thought life.

Christian maturity is dependent upon a diligent lifestyle of association in thought, in word, and in action with who Christ is! Shabba.

This message is based on notes I took while listening to a mighty prophet in the Faith. I loved his message so much, I felt a need to organize my notes the best I could, add my own touch, and share it with the people of God as I continued to minister to myself by rewriting it all down. Writing this blog is so much fun. Hope you are blessed by this Word as I was and am

Glorifying in the Lord!

"But we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block and to the Greeks foolishness, but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. " -1 Corinthians 1:23-24

There are only two reasons why the Gospel is rejected:

1. The Gospel "to the Greeks foolishness". The Greeks in this respect represent those who are seekers of earthly wisdom and who are looking for a more "scientific gospel" or a more "intellectual gospel" even if the result is a theory. They view the Gospel as too simple, or too unintelligent, or too primitive; and overall foolish.

2. The Gospel "to the Jews a stumbling block". The Jews represent those who are religiously minded. They have a preconceived idea of Christ but "stumble" or become "offended" at who Christ really is (His nature and identity).

With that being said, let's focus on my title. =]

Paul goes on to say later in that same chapter, "That, according as it is written, He that glories, let him glory in the Lord." -1 Corinthians 1:31.

This means, that it is not wrongful to glory or boast, as long as you do so in the Lord. How do you glory in the Lord? Simply by claiming your identity in Christ Jesus.

For you to live is Christ, right? (1 Philippians 1:21). And according to the introductory scripture, 1 Corinthians 1:24, Christ is the power and wisdom of God. So, for you to live is the power of God and the wisdom of God! Not to mention Christ is in you, so the power of God and the wisdom of God is in you; and you are in Christ; meaning, you are in the power and the wisdom of God!
Shabba!

That is how you glory in the Lord. You claim your heavenly identity. Of course you can continue with this and glory some more in saying: I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, I am in perfect love, I am in the power of God, I am in Christ Jesus seated at the right hand of the Father, I am more than a conquer in Christ Jesus, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me and so on!

To the Greeks this will definitely prove foolish. To the religiously minded, the believer who walks by faith and claims their heavenly identity in Christ Jesus will prove to be a stumbling block or an offense. They may start wondering, "Who do they think they are?" or " What happened to being humble?"

Well to those questions: It's who we KNOW we are, and humility is, as Paul has wonderfully put it, glorifying in the Lord and claiming the identity He has provided for us through His death and resurrection! Yes!!!

Glorifying in the Lord revives and renews your spirit about your new identity. You also have to keep on reminding your Spirit-man and the rest of your being that you have a new identity in Christ Jesus; lest you make provisions for the flesh. Romans 13:14 says, "But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires."

You make no provision for the flesh by not glorifying in your old nature!!! You put on the Lord Jesus Christ and His nature! Don't meditate upon who you use to be before salvation!

So in conclusion, you should never be at lost of a testimony. If you don't have anything in the natural, glory in Christ. If you have provisions in the natural, glory in Christ for providing those things. Even when you can't come up with a tangible thing to glory God about in the natural, change your focus, and began to rehearse your glorifying in the Lord for the spiritual things you already have (salvation, authority, power , ect); which in turn will bring about a change in the natural realm!!!!!

Yes, I'm Insane, a little overboard, out of my mind, a FANATIC!

"In this world ye shall have tribulations, but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world” - John 16:33.

I bring up that scripture first because I simply wanted to highlight on the fact that Christ has overcome the world! Meaning, we as kingdom people are not subjected to any of the world's "norms" or "standards". Which is why in that same scripture Jesus mentions that by being "different" we will have tribulations. Tribulations are not always the gravest of things. They could simply be having people look at you funny, or people thinking you're crazy. Hahaha...hence my title. At these times, you should be OF GOOD CHEER! Because ultimately, that is what you are after; being labeled "insane", or "out of your mind" by the world!

Usually for someone to be qualified as Insane they are considered to have, "lost their mind."
Hahaha, see where I am going with this? God WANTS you to lose your mind!!!

"...Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind..."- Romans 12:2
"And be renewed in the spirit of your mind" - Ephesians 4:23
"Let the mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus"-Philippians 2:5
Shabba!!!

When you take on a HEAVENLY PERSPECTIVE and begin to think in terms of KINGDOM...people are no doubt going to think you're "insane" or "crazy" or "too extreme"

We are called to walk by FAITH and live a lifestyle of LOVE. We are in this world but not OF it! No wonder they think we're crazy hehehehe =D

When you can turn the other cheek for someone who has wronged you and simply let things go and forgive; that to some could be considered "insane".

When you have a cold and are coughing as evidence and yet you are telling all those around you that I'm not sick because by His stripes I was healed; you may be told you're going a bit "overboard".

When you speak from a position of authority and confront darkness head on with the knowledge that no weapon formed against you shall prosper and nothing shall by any means harm you; yup, a few people will definitely label you "out of your mind" .

When you proclaim that Jesus is the only WAY. That only through Him can you be saved; man, there's no doubt, by the world you'll be classified as a FANATIC!

But remember, even when you get the: they're-crazy looks, or the suit-yourself shrugs, or the are-you-sure-you're-okays...Be of GOOD CHEER! Jesus wasn't "normal" by social standards either =]

So next time someone calls you crazy and says you've "lost your mind" just smile real big and say, Thank you! I've been working at it ( losing your mind that is =]). In fact, I've been waiting for somebody to tell me that.

Hahahahaha =]

Response To Christ in you is MORE than enough!

Hey i just wanted to comment on the last part of your post referring to part where Jesus told them to “Go”.
I have been reading Acts lately about just the power these disciples had to the point where they were actually doing "greater works than these". I am always amazed by the faith of these men that they heal the blind, cast out demons, and so on. I am amazed that they spoke in front of multitudes and thousands were baptized and began speaking in tongues. Then I begin to wonder "Why am i so astonished?" Jesus said you shall perform "greater works than these" and he meant it. As you said, he has given us all authority in heaven and earth.
I pray the Lord’s Prayer every day but never really thought about what I was saying. "On Earth as it is in Heaven" is not just a meaningless phrase. It means that we are kingdom people and should stay kingdom minded. We shouldn't accept something inferior because it happens to come our way. Wherever Peter walked he changed the atmosphere because that's what he saw happen wherever Jesus walked. He followed Jesus for years but once Jesus ascended into heaven, he didn't remain a follower. He, as you put it, "Put on Christ". His entire mindset was changed knowing that he could bring Heaven down to earth and had the power of heaven to back him up. So, I said all that to say that though I still am amazed by the power of the Holy Ghost in Acts I am even more excited and overwhelmed that we as Christians who are co-heirs with Christ will do even greater works.
What I've learned lately and have been working on is that I have to change my mindset. I have to remind myself that Christ truly is more than enough. Essentially, I could sit on the sidelines and just encourage my brethren to go out on the streets and minister while living a quiet simple life. But I have been called deeper. I have experienced the aspect of my God that is just endless love. I have known him as the lover of my soul and it is wonderful!! But with Acts I am learning there are so many sides to him. He is Fire! He is Powerful! He is Jealous! When you combine all those together you see in the books of Acts that thousands become wrecked by the Holy Spirit and it is glorious! That's what I long to see and experience! It has come to the point that I can't be satisfied with my situation and can ignore the call any longer to just testify to the world Who Jesus IS. I'm not just a follower, for that is just one aspect of being a Christian. I follow His example but as a person who has Christ dwelling in them, I am a doer of his will, meaning I have the power of the Greater One inside of me to change the atmosphere and command the situation to change until it is ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN.

JESUS-THE ULTIMATE HIGH!!

Okay so I am not totally sure what to do in this blog thing but I found the link that said "New Post" so I am just going to run with it. SO...I was reading Hebrews 8 with my brothers and God was showing us how He is the high priest. Now to some, that may sound a little boring or ancient and old timey, but when you read about it, and realize the roles of a high priest, and consider the fact that we still have one, even though many of us do not practice the custom of having a "priest in a tabernacle" anymore, it makes you ask...Why? Why does the bible say that we still have a high priest? Why do we need Jesus to play that role? What is this telling us about heaven's order? So many questions, and I wanted some answers.

Well, thank God that our God loves to answer us when we call (Matt 7:7-8). So the first thing Hebrews says is that we still have a high priest in heaven. If you think about back in bible days, there were many priests, but only one high priest who could go in the Most Holy Place (Hebrews 9:7). The fact that Jesus is our high priest reiterates the fact that He is Lord all by himself! There is none greater than him, and none beside him! He truly is our one and only.

Next, the chapter talks about how the high priest had to offer both gifts and sacrifices. Okay, none of us are high priests, but the Word does say we are "kings and priests unto God" (Rev 1:6, 5:10) and since we are, it is also our job to offer "gifts and sacrifices" unto God because as Jesus is in heaven as our high priest, representing us to the Father, so are we his representatives here on earth (2 Corinthians 5:20). Your "gifts" are not just the things you are good at, but also your praises, worship, finances, thanksgiving, etc. Your sacrifices, well, what are the things that sometimes steal the time away that was always meant to be spent with the Lord? Your sacrifices can be anywhere from food to facebook, whatever sometimes seems hard to give up. Yeah, in some respects this may sound like fasting, but sacrifice doesn't always mean starve, though religion has used the two words interchangeably. Romans 12 tells us to "offer our bodies as living sacrifices, holy and acceptable to God..." Living sacrifices-you're daily life, your routine, the things you do during the day, offer them to God. Whatever you think you control would be a sacrifce giving up, but as priests, He wants to know if we'll give him our all, just like he did.

Okay, so then the chapter goes on to saying that Jesus could not have been a high priest on earth because there were already men appointed who offered gifts according to and out from the law. We took this a step further and asked the most amazing question ever...Why else? Hebrews 5 talks about the roles of the high priest, like how they had to deal gently with the people because of their ignorance and understand theur weaknesses because of their own. That, if nothing else, sums up the answer to that amazing question we had. Jesus could not be a high priest on earth because though he dealt gently with us in our ignorance and understood and even felt our weaknesses, he was not subject to them! Jesus had no sins to call his own! He felt our weaknesses and was "tempted in every way" that he might be able to understand us when we fall, yet "he sinned not" (Hebrews 4:15). He became one with our weakness that we may become one with his holiness! What an exchange! So, not only do we have a high priest, but we have a high priest who is loving, understanding, and best of all, perfect.

Lastly, our high priest out did any of the earthly high priests by giving the ultimate sacrifice to bring an end to all future, physical sacrifices serving as an atonement for our sin, himself. Jesus came as a man, and died as a criminal. Why? Because he couldn't stand the old covenant that separated us from him, from life, from love, from all that He has and is. So to do away with the old covenant that we could not uphold, He came and died, but rose again; died to declare the old covenant that called for someone to speak to God for you, said we could only be forgiven by the blood of animals, and stood in the way of relationship with God null and void, and rose to declare a new covenant, one that invites us into relationship with the Father through his Son, allows us to speak to God for ourselves, and grants forgiveness of sin and the forgetfulness of the act on God's part. He paid the ultimate price that we may inherit the ultimate reward...an everlasting communion, a marriage if you will, with Jesus, Love himself. Yes, we still have a high priest, just as in the old days, who represented the people. But our high priest represents us as we are in Christ, not in sin. Our high priest sees us new, whole, perfect, powerful! Just as he represents us, let us do our part in understanding who he is, that we may represent him as he is, as he was, and as he shall always be!

Christ in you is MORE than enough!

Jesus redeemed us with his death, and justified us with his resurrection!

He died for our sins and he resurrected so that we may have a new nature. He resurrected  to restore to us the position we had before the fall of Adam. We can live justified or just-as-if-we've-never-sinned. He resurrected to enforce the victory he won for us on the cross. He said in Matthew 28:18, ""ALL authority in heaven  and on earth has been given to me. Therefore GO and make disciples of ALL nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." Jesus had to resurrect in order to render death, and hell powerless (Revelation 1:18).  Before His resurrection and after the fall of Adam, the devil was more powerful than the righteous man; and although God's Word, "is forever settled in heaven," (Psalms119:8), that wasn't the case here on earth. Adam gave the earth up to satan and relinquished his dominion over it. This was the exact point in which the devil became "the god of this world," as the bible calls him in 2 Corinthians 4:4. He had dominion over the earth until Jesus went into hell and took it ALL back.

After His resurrection,  Jesus told his disciples he held all authority; and then told them to GO. Let's think about this for a minute. Where is Jesus? Well, when we were recreated through the second birth of the Holy Spirit, Jesus moved to inhabit in us through the person of the Holy Spirit. So now, what exactly does that imply? That means that all that Jesus is, all that Jesus has, and all that Jesus can do is IN YOU!!! Do you realize that you carry GOD!!!! He dwells in you with ALL authority in heaven and on earth!!!! That is why you are commissioned to GO; because you have authority over all things and the power (power is supplied by the Holy Spirit) to enforce that authority.  Of course all in Jesus Christ! And people honestly think our AWESOME God has sent them out powerless. Wrong! You can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens you (Philippians 4:13).

Answer the Call!

God is looking for believers to stand in Faith! Believers who are willing to be evidence providers of the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ!!!

Jesus DIED so that we may LIVE for Him! I love the way Paul says it in Philippians 1:21. He says, " For me, to live is Christ..."  ).

So what does living for Christ entitle? Well, it's all quite simple. This lifestyle is simple enough for me to sum up in one word. That word would be LOVE! We are called to be LOVE here on earth. Some people would sum up the Christian lifestyle with the word faith; but in fact, though faith is a necessary part, faith works by LOVE. So, in the end, it all boils down to LOVE.The Kingdom of God is built on LOVE; and we are called to bring the Kingdom down here to earth.

The great commission is based in Love. Jesus said, " Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation." - Mark 16:15. Why? Because Jesus wants everyone to be governed by his Kingdom. Some are under the false impression that the Kingdom of God can only be established in Heaven. No. The Kingdom is for the HERE AND NOW! It is our responsibility as believers to establish the kingdom in all the world as Jesus commissioned us to do.

What's so great about being governed by the Kingdom of God? I'll go in depth about this later, but basically the Constitution of the Kingdom of God allows for no sickness or disease (1 Peter 2:24), proclaims you the head and not the tail in daily life matters (Romans 8:37), and secures you a position of authority above principalities, above powers, above the rulers of the darkness of this world, above spiritual wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:12) so that NOTHING can by any means harm you (Luke 10:19).

As believers, we have been placed in such a high position of VICTORY; sitting in Christ Jesus at the right hand of God (Ephesians 2:6)! But what's sad is many believers don't know what came along with their FREE promotion, and thus do not walk in it! You must speak from your HEAVENLY POSITION in Christ Jesus!

And so, we as believers are called to bring others into the Kingdom. We do this by demonstrating the Power of God through acts of LOVE! The ultimate act of Love was done by Jesus, when he died on the cross for our sins, while we were still sinners.  And now he has called us to show his LOVE to a poor and destitute world by healing their sick, delivering their captives, and introducing them to a kingdom governed by LIFE and BLESSINGS!  We have the antidote and I don't think it would be very nice to keep it to ourselves

In order to do these things, all you have to do is take a step of faith and answer the call! Say YES to God! For all Christians are called to, "drive out demons; speak in new tongues; pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all;  place their hands on sick people, and they will get well." -Mark 16: 17-18. Pretty awesome right! It's a really sad thing when people start thinking Christianity is boring. It means you are not walking in all you are called to!

You are not responsible for changing yourself. Just answer the call and allow The Word (Jesus) to change and empower you. Once you have answered the call, stay around The Word (Jesus) and allow Him to work in you so that He can began to work through you. Faith comes by hearing and hearing The Word of God (Romans 10:17). When you meditate and stay around The Word, faith will come and allow you to act on all that you have heard!
"For it is God which works in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure". - Philippians 2:13
